Ivy Gao

Ivy (she/her) is a third year PhD student in the Neuroscience Program at Tufts University. She is studying ALS, a neurodegenerative disease characterized by motor neuron loss. Ivy uses human iPSC-derived motor neurons to investigate how an ALS-related mutation induces lysosomal dysfunction. At NE GWISE, she is passionate about fostering community as well as empowering women in STEM through social and career-related events.
