Galini Piomenidou

Galini is a 5th year Ph.D. student at Dartmouth College studying the mechanism of PP1 holoenzyme assembly through mass spectrometry-based proteomics in the Kettenbach lab. Originally from Thessaloniki, Greece, Galini graduated Lawrence University cum laude with degrees in Biochemistry and Economics in 2020. Previously a Dartmouth GWiSE co-chair, Galini is currently the school’s co-representative. During her time at GWiSE, she hopes to strengthen the community of women in STEM and help connect her peers to resources they need through advocacy and peer support. Outside of lab, Galini is involved in the Dartmouth Graduate Student Council and in her free time enjoys the outdoors, travelling and a good book.
